I thought I might miss the chance to capture leaf clearing on the camera. What a mistake. It has been another week of leaves. Leaves barrowed, leaves raked, leaves lifted one by one, leaves on the roof, leaves swept. And there are more…
I tottered over a makeshift bridge to get across a deep gully (and I had silly artist’s shoes on not my wellies) in order to see the bonfire. What I didn’t know was that when they had to use a pallet to get the fire going – it was the makeshift bridge. It was a long way to jump (ever heard of burning your bridges?)
I leave my camera strapped to somebody’s body and then I disappear to get myself out of the shot – hiding behind a tree or door, having a coffee, buying fudge in the shop – and when I come back the camera and person are gone. If it was a gardener at least I know where to find them…. It is very exciting to download the footage when I get home – I have no idea at all what will have been captured. Many of you participants are getting the hang of the camera and I much appreciate the care I see is being taken to position yourselves away from the sun, or on occasion you pause to look at something interesting. I am beginning to feel it is a real collaboration – I hope you do?
I’ve got lots of footage that I haven’t managed to sort through yet. So I haven’t got all the stills posted here that I should have. I will do them soon! Keep coming back….
